CHECKLIST FOR ENROLLING

KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS

*PROOF OF RESIDENCY- Total of 3 proofs) Mortgage papers or Bona Fide Lease and (2) utility bills at that address in the name of the parent or court appointed legal guardian. If the lease includes the utilities, provide (2) of the following items; bank statement, cable bill, tax notice. Voter registration card, or a page of income tax showing your name and address.

*CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATE- (A child must be five years of age on or before September 1st to be registered for kindergarten.)

*SOCIAL SECURITY CARD

*CURRENT ALABAMA IMMUNIZATION RECORD- (Check expiration date, chicken pox vaccination or proof of chicken pox by doctor, 2nd MMR.)

*DRIVER'S LICENSE OF CUSTODIAL PARENT- (If the address on the license does not match the proof of residence, the parent must get a new driver's license with a matching address.)

*PROOF OF CUSTODY PAPERS OR COURT APPOINTED LEGAL GUARDIANSHIP AND/OR LEGAL NAME CHANGE WHEN APPLICABLE. (Neither notarized statements nor "Temporary Delegation of Parental Rights" forms are acceptable.)

    • The 1st grade classes celebrated 100 Days of School by dressing like they were 100!

 TEACHERS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

 

  Rae Adcock teaches 7th and 8th grade Pre-AP Science at Corner School.  Mrs. Adcock is a graduate of the University of Montevallo.  She earned a Bachelors Science degreen in Biology and Masters Degree in Education from U of M.  Mrs. Adcock sponsors the middle school Science Olympiad team and is the middle school Talented and Gifted liaison to the district.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching The Big Bang Theory, and scuba diving.

 

 
Stella Robbins teaches fourth grade social studies and science at Corner School.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo.  Mrs. Robbins has served as a cheerleading sponsor for Corner High School and on several committees at Corner School.  Away from the school, she is an active member of her church, enjoys reading and fishing, and getting away to the beach or the mountains.
